Frequently asked questions
How do I connect my eBay, Facebook Marketplace, Poshmark or Mercari account?
eBay is a real connection. Go to Settings → eBay account and click Connect eBay account. You'll sign in on eBay's own page and approve access, then you're sent back to Summit. You can disconnect from the same place at any time.
Facebook Marketplace, Poshmark, Mercari and Vinted have nothing to connect. None of them offers a listing connection to sign up for. Instead, stay signed in to them in the same browser you use for Summit, install the Summit extension, and Summit fills the listing form on their own site using the session you already have. You never give Summit a password for those marketplaces.
Why isn't the Vinted autofill working — and does Vinted post automatically?
Vinted is semi-automated on purpose. Summit fills in the whole listing and then stops. You look it over and press Upload yourself. Summit never presses it for you. The same is true of Facebook Marketplace (Publish), Poshmark (List This Item) and Mercari (List). eBay is the one exception — it has an official seller connection built for this, so Summit posts there for you.
If the Vinted form comes up blank or half-filled, work through these in order:
- Make sure you're signed in to Vinted in the same browser profile.
- Check the Summit extension is installed and switched on at
chrome://extensions. - Start from the item in Summit and use Send to Vinted — opening Vinted's form yourself won't trigger anything.
- If one field stalls, close any picker Vinted has left open (the Colors picker is the usual culprit) and the rest will carry on.
- If Vinted itself is showing an error page, wait a few minutes and send the item again.

How do I install the Chrome extension, and do I need it?
You need it for Facebook Marketplace, Poshmark, Mercari and Vinted, because those sites can only be filled in from inside your own browser. You don't need it for eBay, which Summit posts to directly.
- Download the extension and unzip it somewhere you won't delete by accident.
- Open
chrome://extensionsin Chrome. - Turn on Developer mode, top right.
- Click Load unpacked and choose the folder you just unzipped.
- Open any item in Summit — the Send to Facebook, Send to Poshmark, Send to Mercari and Send to Vinted buttons appear once the extension is detected.
When we release an update, download the file again, replace the folder, and click the reload icon on
the Summit card at chrome://extensions. Chrome won't pick up the new version on its own.
Where do I see my listing history and where each item stands?
Inventory lists everything you've built in Summit. Open an item and you'll see each marketplace it was sent to, a link to the live listing, and anything that failed along the way. Dashboard is the quick overview, and Orders covers items that have sold.
One thing worth knowing: Summit can spot a sale on its own for eBay and Poshmark. Facebook Marketplace, Mercari and Vinted block automated status checks, so for those three you mark the item sold in Summit yourself and it will prompt you to pull it from your other marketplaces.
How do I report a bug or ask for a feature?
Email support@summitlistingengine.com — bugs and feature requests both go to the same place, and it reaches the people who build Summit.
For a bug, include the item and marketplace, what you clicked, what you saw, and a screenshot if you have one. If it involves the extension, say which browser you're on and whether the Send to… buttons appeared at all — that alone usually narrows it down.
Feature requests are genuinely read. Once something ships, it shows up under What's new inside the app.
Is my marketplace account data secure?
The extension never sends your marketplace logins, passwords or session cookies to Summit's servers. The form-filling all happens locally in your browser, using the session you're already signed in with. The only thing the extension pulls down from Summit is the listing you asked it to post and its photos.
It also only runs on the pages you use to create or manage a listing on those marketplaces — it isn't watching the rest of your browsing.
Your eBay connection goes through eBay's own sign-in, so Summit never sees your eBay password, and you can disconnect it from Settings whenever you like. We don't sell your data or use it for advertising. The full detail is in the Privacy Policy.
