Good to know
- If your return address is in Texas, Poshmark adds tax on 80% of its seller fee, at the Texas rate for your location. That extra is not included here.
- Any shipping discount you offer, and label upgrades above 5 lb ($5 up to 10 lb, $10 up to 15 lb), come out of your earnings.
How Poshmark fees work
Poshmark has one of the simplest fee rules in reselling, with a single line. A sale under $15 costs a flat $2.95. A sale of $15 or more costs 20% of the final order price. Listing is free, and there is no separate payment processing fee.
The cutover is close to seamless: a $14.99 sale pays $2.95 and a $15 sale pays $3.00. The flat fee is what makes cheap items hard, though. On a $5 sale, $2.95 is 59% of the price, which is worth remembering when you price low-value items or bundle them.
Above $15 the 20% is what you feel. It is the highest headline rate among the major resale apps, so a $100 sale leaves you $80. In exchange, the buyer normally pays for shipping: a flat $6.49 prepaid label that comes straight from Poshmark. You print it and drop the parcel off, and that $6.49 never touches your earnings. That is why this calculator does not subtract your shipping cost on Poshmark.
Two things can change that. If you offer a shipping discount to get a sale moving, you pay the difference. If the parcel goes over the 5 lb the label covers, the overweight cost is yours too. Both are easy to overlook when you are comparing Poshmark to a platform with a lower percentage.
Sellers with a Texas return address pay one more item. Since October 2025, Poshmark adds tax on 80% of its seller fee. Poshmark's own example is a $100 sale with a $20 fee, where 8.25% applied to $16 adds $1.32.
A worked example
Say you sell an item you paid $10.00 for at $50.00, with free shipping to the buyer and 7% sales tax, the buyer pays for the label. On Poshmark that comes to Poshmark fee $10.00, $10.00 in total. You keep $30.00, a 60% margin.
Common questions
What is the Poshmark fee on a $20 item?
At $15 and above Poshmark takes 20%, so a $20 sale costs $4 and leaves you $16, before what you paid for the item.
Does the seller pay shipping on Poshmark?
Normally not. The buyer pays a flat $6.49 for the prepaid label. You pay only if you choose to offer a shipping discount, or if the parcel goes over 5 lb.
Does Poshmark charge to list items?
No. Listing is free, and the fee is charged only when an item sells.
