Good to know
- Vinted's optional bumps vary by item and duration, and it publishes no fixed price, so they are not included here.
How Vinted fees work
Vinted charges US sellers nothing for listing or selling. If an item sells for $50, $50 lands in your Vinted Wallet. That is why the fee column for Vinted is zero, and it is not a mistake in the calculator.
The cost sits on the buyer's side. Buyers pay a Vinted fee, usually 5% plus $0.70 of the item or bundle price, though it varies by item, order value and order type. Vinted renamed this from the Buyer Protection fee in October 2026 and says the calculation did not change. Buyers also cover shipping, which is why this calculator does not subtract your shipping cost on Vinted.
So comparing Vinted with a platform that charges sellers isn't a straight comparison. Your payout is the full price, but a buyer on Vinted pays more than the number on the tag. A $50 item costs them about $53.20 before shipping. Some sellers price a little lower on Vinted because buyers can see the all-in cost. Others keep the price and let the zero fee do the work. Try both in the calculator: lower the sale price by the amount you would actually discount and see whether Vinted still comes out ahead.
The only seller-paid extras are optional. Bumps push a listing up for 3 or 7 days, and the price depends on the item and the duration, so Vinted does not publish a fixed rate. If you use them regularly, add the average cost to your item cost for a realistic figure.
Keep an eye on what your closet looks like across platforms too. A zero-fee platform only helps if the item actually sells there, so many resellers list the same item on Vinted and on a platform with more buyers, taking it down from the others when it sells.
A worked example
Say you sell an item you paid $10.00 for at $50.00, with free shipping to the buyer and 7% sales tax, the buyer pays for the label. On Vinted that comes to no seller fees, $0.00 in total. You keep $40.00, a 80% margin.
